For the most part, I agree with that article. <br /><br />I have no interest in offering my guests handlebar mustaches on sticks to pose with in pictures. Also, I think photo booths, in general, are on their way out.<br /><br />Deciding on wedding favors is plaguing me, but only because I&#39;ve convinced myself that they&#39;re necessary. The more I think about it, the more I agree with the article. I don&#39;t want my guests to walk away with some stupid random gift that they&#39;ll wind up throwing out on the way back to their cars.<br /><br />The one thing I don&#39;t agree with is the opinion that writing your own vows is out. Stephen and I plan on writing our own vows. While watching someone stumble over their words can be awkward, watching someone deliver their vows perfectly can be magical. I think it all depends on the couple. Most times the &quot;trash the dress&quot; session (or I like to call it ROCK the dress) is a way to get pictures that you love in your dress without worrying about it staying pretty for the reception. For example, you really want photos of you and your new husband on the beach, but your wedding either isn&#39;t close to the beach or you don&#39;t want to worry about the sand/salt/ocean. You take the time to do another session at the beach where you aren&#39;t worried about who is going to see you in your dress afterwards.
