apprenticeship

Several people have called or written to me, asking if I am currently hiring or looking for apprentices. And no, I'm not at the moment...but that doesn't mean you should give up! If you have the eagerness to create beautiful letter forms, I encourage you to continue practicing the art. Your hand-rendered calligraphy can be the personal touch on a custom gift for a family member, special friend, or new baby. Keep it up -I wish anyone studying calligraphy years of enjoyment!

lively color palette

This is another one of my current projects in progress- Jennifer's invites. The color scheme of her invitations is light blue with a bold pink floral print (very unique!), so I'm having fun writing in 'midnight blue'. Here's a preview:

Kevin and Angela's envelopes

When Kevin and Angela called me, the person that they had lined up to do the calligraphy on their envelopes had fallen through, so they were on a tight deadline to get the invites out in time. I was able to accommodate their schedule this time by putting a rush on the envelopes. I am handwriting the addresses in burgundy ink, to match their invitation. Here's a sneak peek...
